Hello-I've been very frustrated with my upgrade to Windows 10 from Windows 7 on my Desktop computer.I've upgraded two computers at my house to Windows 10. Both have had much different results. My Windows 8 laptop upgraded easily and operates nicely with the update. My much faster Desktop wentfrom Windows 7 to Windows 10 and is now super laggy and has been a horrible update. I upgraded both with existing (meaning I didn't do a full wipe and install.but the laptop had nearly nothing on it to begin with).So I have been trying to figure out what my real problems were with the update on the Desktop (formerly Windows 7 and had tons of old apps, files, etc). I wanted to come back and post that I believe I found a solution.or rather was helped by someone on TenForums.com.Here is what he said:ASUS does not have a Windows 10 driver for that board but I believe the Windows 8.1 driver might work.Go here and get the SATA driver.Here are later drivers that are for Windows 10 directly from IntelI did install the 8.1 drivers from ASUS and that seemed to work. It would be better if they were more up to date, but at least my computer is usable.While I understand that some of this is easy to people that post or answer these forums, I must say how frustrating it was to be identified as eligible for the Windows 10 free update and then go from a very high-functioning computer to a nearly useless one(as far as my work goes). I had to do a lot of digging and learning to even get good results from a Google search on what my problem might be.
